Being totally honest here... I do not remember that ever happening.

EDIT: I just did a search... I found one post during that timeframe... is this the one: https://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=319833

I don't remember ever reading that before... sometimes I miss things. And you never mentioned this before.

I never asked you to give up everything... I only asked for the finished products of anything that I originally shared.

I have had an original copy of the ClassicArcadeGrafix artwork from the time that JoyMonkey and a group of users from BYOAC first purchased it. That is what is considered the original JoyMonkey artwork.

The Tempest Cocktail Bezel and Cosmic Alien Bezel were not part of that artwork. They were scanned by user TrevEB here at these forums, on loan from a private collector that he knows.

At that point in time, those scans were only ever shared by him to me, and I only ever shared those with anyone that was helping with artwork at that time.

The site https://www.arcadeartwork.org/ currently has all of the artwork that used to be at the JoyMonkey site, along with copies of anything that I have posted publicly
on my site over the years. I do not see Tempest Cocktail or Cosmic Alien listed there today.

I've also reached out to TrevEB, to confirm if he ever shared these with the JoyMonkey site.

(EDIT: confirmed with Trevor... he never shared any of his scanned artwork with the JoyMonkey site).

You originally posted Tempest Cocktail on 2012-08-02: https://zonaarcade.forumcommunity.net/?t=51903196

You originally posted Cosmic Alien on 2012-08-09: https://zonaarcade.forumcommunity.net/?t=51979377

And the original scan date for Tempest Cocktail was April 2011, so that is a very short window, between when Trevor scanned it, versus when you first posted it. Are you sure you aren't mistaken where you got it from back then... maybe you had some things mixed up?

I also have an email from September 2012:
-- Hi Mikonos,
-- Can you let me know when Cosmic Alien and Tempest are done and uploaded? I will do the next release then.
-- Thanks!!!

Which I requested more than a few times after that email. If you did get those from the JoyMonkey site back then, why did you never comment on any email I sent inquiring about them?

FYI... Stunt Cycle, which you originally posted 2013-12-08, is from that same person.

My mistake on Shadow Dancer... it was updated later by someone else.

That second statement is false. The Space Harrier marquee is what originally set me off back then. It is one of my favorite games ever... I paid good money for that marquee... you posted it on 2012-07-06: https://zonaarcade.forumcommunity.net/?t=51583685

See... this is the part you don't get. You want to tell me what you want me to send to you, but then you also want to tell me what you are going to send me. That is not a collaboration.

I already said I don't need Willow... we've had that for the longest time.

If you are the only person who gets to decide everything, that is a one-way relationship that only benefits you. I am not interested in that, and I don't think anyone else here would be either.

If I spent the time and money to purchase/acquire/scan artwork that I would send your way, the only thing I would expect in return is a finished copy of the artwork.

This is something that I posted in my reply to Nightvoice, which is also what upset me back then... you are making it sound like your skills are so good and important, that the work you do restoring the artwork is much more valuable than the time and effort that someone put in to purchase/scan/acquire artwork.

Well guess what... if that person hadn't put in the time and effort in the first place, then you wouldn't have that artwork available to cleanup in the first place.

They are EQUALLY valuable.

Some of the very oldest things that I have, I might not have the "pieces" still... in the very beginning, I foolishly discarded the original PSDs. But the majority of what I have, they are still in pieces.

To answer something in your other comment... all artwork that I have released can be found here: https://mrdo.mameworld.info/mame_artwork_ingame.php

Some titles might be listed under the "parent" rom of MAME, so you might not see the actual name of the game in the list (e.g. Pac-Man bezel would be included in the puckman file).

To find a complete news archive of when stuff was released, you can go here: https://mrdo.mameworld.info/news_archive.php

One thing you will notice about that page, everyone who ever helped with any piece of artwork, receives credit... whether they helped to clean it up, purchase it, scan it, etc.
This credit is also included in the artwork file on the page linked earlier.

And some of those same people have also used artwork from here, to do their own artwork releases on other sites, and they have always mentioned when they received help on this end.

In 18 years of doing this, I have only had one person post about artwork received here on their own site, but never gave credit to me for sending them the scans in the first place...

RELAX and just have fun. Remember, it's all about the games.
