Light gun as a mouse?

I don't know if this would even be possible, but lets say you take a light gun (made by) Sinden. This does come with sensors that you mount on the top corners of your screen/monitor.

I'm not sure exactly how it works, but if this could act like a mouse... Could someone also use something like AIMVICE to then use (what would essentially be a) "mouse" input/motions on a console?
