Thank you Billy for your answer.
I have tried mameui64_248Final from JohnIV site ....and with it (using the 259 romset) works great....you can change difficulty with the 248Final version...
So maybe the problem is in some kind of new script within the new core update of mame....?
I hope someone can fix this?
