Random pause during game play on MAMEUI

Been using MAMEUI for years. Never had a problem, and it is always my goto build. Love it. Using version .257.

For some reason during any game play it will totally freeze for like 3-4 seconds. No audiom no control, nothing. Colors stay the same, they do not get darker like the pause key is hit, and then without warning, it is back to normal again. Any ideas?
