Good work and thanks as usual for the ongoing updates.

I believe the software snapshots helped out with one of my former coworkers who was trying to find the game name of some computer game he was trying to find for quite some time. He and I used to work at same service firm back in early 1990s and he was a computer game fan besides myself back then even though consoles were the more popular choice for gaming. I don’t know what specific game he was searching for nor what computer system it was, but he did mention of finally finding the specific game name when he and I accidentally bumped in to each other at one of the few remaining big box type stores. He and I didn’t have much time to chat, but he did mention he was glad of finding the game name.

As he was explaining to me, he might have used IA website first and then maybe used your snaps feature to find exact computer game name. If I see him again, I’ll have to ask him if I see him again because I am curious myself.

I forgot how useful the Internet Archive’s feature is.

Someone was thinking they had played After Burner in the unique 360 spin around cab, but it was actually
Sega Gloc R360 cab that they were mis-remembering. The person asking about that will be surprised when they find out that the game is supported / preserved. The Internet gaming feature is actually useful because it will save me time and quickly show the person what they were actually trying to remember.

The same person will be more surprised when they find out that some of the Mattel 1970s era led games are also preserved. It’s amusing they remember the Mattel game name which was long ago, but yet mistakenly thought After Burner was their game when it was actually Gloc R 360.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised because Pete (kazzy) had always thought Sega Borderline was a tank driving game when it was actually a jeep driving game. I made sure to razz / ridicule Pete about that back at the 2006 SoCal MAME meet in Fullerton, CA. ; - )

Good times then and glad Pete was able to meet in person while he was visiting from Australia ( he attended IEEE national conference that was in San Diego in 2006)
