I have some ones, but I have to admit they are almost impossible:
- Pioneer LaserActive emulation. There are at least two dumps from the discs, they still need to be stacked for dump verification though. Maybe this year we could see an advance on the emulation of this oscure system.
- Video Mahjong proper emulation. The games are cheezy and quite forgettable, still they represent an important part from Arcades in Japan history.
- Phillips CD-i Digital Video Cartridge (DVC) progress. CD-i has improved considerably last year, even is this can't be achieved I'm set. I just wish some forgotten soul finds and releases discoveries that make MPEG-1 decoding possible for this system someday.
- PSP skeleton driver with a proper BIOS dump. PPSSPP can't do all the work alone, they won't emulate Video UMDs either. I know a BIOS won't necessary include video decoding at all (other unemulated components will), still it's a step further on accurate emulation.
- Pump it Up first generation machines emulation. PC emulation has improved and I think this and TechnoMotion were PC based? Not sure at all, I have vague memories of the game CD requiring a Voodoo card under DOS, only time will tell.
Now that I see everything listed is all video decoding related, one of these days it will be possible just like Bemani System 573 Digital was done. Something I'm eternally grateful it happened.
Thank you for all you have done through the years. These wishes will fly in the air, but what I expect one it doesn't is for you to find the peace you need. Last year was complicated for some of you either emotionally or economically. If you think you need a rest go for it. You deserve it.
