You really don't have any knowledge or insight whatsoever into what goes on behind the scenes. You're falling into a very easy psychological trap to fall into, which is thinking that somehow the MAME team has some enormous amount of team acrimony compared to other emulators.
The reality is that the core development team includes everyone from straight white Trump-voting dudes, to agender avowed leftists, to middle-of-the-road folks from developing countries, all of whom have come together for the sole purpose of emulating games.
Other than a very small number of incidents that came about after years of constant misbehavior and active undermining of the rest of the team, the MAME team has remained a remarkably cohesive whole, with the vast majority of departures simply coming about from people getting older and having more life obligations, meaning less time to devote to MAME. Literally no team, organization, or company under the sun has managed to go without the occasional bad egg that needs to be discarded, and the fact that you don't seem to understand that makes it evident that you somehow are responding from elsewhere than the real world. Even the small handful of other emulation projects that match the size and scope of MAME have far more endemic problems with toxicity. It's frankly bizarre that you seem to have this warped perspective that you do.
Since from your post you seem to be fond of "old sayings" that are largely decoupled from reality, here's a good one: "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."
