Yes, I am familiar with it but like you I am unfamiliar with the tech involved. As far as I know it is the only LD game at the time (or ever) that actually uses the Manchester Data in the video signal in real time as a type of programing.
I may be TOTALLY wrong about that but that is what I have come to believe about it.
