Ipac 2 - dual mod for neo geo mvs

Hi,
I built a custom 2 player CP for mame using an Ipac2 (keyboard mode) some years ago.
Now I bought an original neo geo MVS arcade board and would like to use my CP with this too (thru a jamma supergun with DB15 neo geo ports).
What is the best dual mod you'd suggest for the CP? Simply connecting extra wires for each button/stick from the ipac connectors to DB15 cables ?
When connected to the arcade board of course Ipac would be powered off.
