I'm having trouble getting the mouse to work as a dial in Tron.
With the default settings both the Joystick X and Mouse X are set to operate the dial.
With these default settings the mouse works, but also the joystick left and right directions act on the dial, which I don't want, because Tron has separate joystick and dial controls.
The solution I tried was to hit escape on the input selection for dial to remove all controls, then select it again and swipe the mouse to the side.
This sets the dial control to mouse X only, and looks as if I should be able to expect it to work. But the mouse now has no in-game effect. It only works with the defaults when the joystick X is also mapped.
What is the solution?
In my mame.ini mouse is set to 1 and is mapped to dial and mouse.
