As a tribute to old school era MW's former forum known as: "Fun / Fluff"
Some music links and a Taxi segment link.

Skunk Funk was the well known piece from the album, but Squids was best imo.

Seeing Chuck Loeb play Roland Gr-700 Guitar synth with Roland G-707 on Safari (see post link) while Michael Brecker is doing his performance on saxophone makes Safari one of the best Steps Ahead music pieces imo.

And lastly Vinnie's best memorable music piece. The drumming while performing with Michael Landau on guitar and Neil on bass puts this piece over the top.

I'm Tweeked / Attack Of The 20lb Pizza Vinnie Colaiuta

Reasons of why yesteryear's era of drummers are fans of Vinnie was because Vinnie's efforts when playing drums made it look easy and smooth even if playing a very complicated drum solo piece. It was like every drummer watching Vinnie doing clinics back then dreamed of having a small bit of drumming skills like Vinnie was demonstrating at the time.

Watch the Zildjian Days clip to see how Vinnie played and also how Vinnie easily utilized the Yamaha drum set when doing the solo segment. Vinnie set the standards then and why today's drummers might try to impersonate a bit of Vinnie's style of drumming.

btw:

I went back to find old post with Taxi stuff in it. The clip with Louie doing stock sales is amusing, but I had to find the genetic research segment. It is funny and amusing hearing how DePalma tries to put a positive spin on investing in genetic research and the throws in words such as "...half of the world population being done in, but if you should be one of the lucky survivors. Do you want to invest?"
