No. The doc had nothing to do with her life choices. Her education, her profession, her pay... People die. ALL people WILL die. You could fall into a sink hole tomorrow or your heart could just stop. Then what? How will she be compensated? A one time insurance payment that may or may not be taxed to shit. Shit happens, and it usually sucks. This whole monetary compensation mentality is bad for society as a whole. My health care prices should rise so your wife can be paid because your doctor sucked? To hell with that.
Life-threatening situation: You would die anyway if not seen by any doctor at all. Non life threatening: You made the damn choice to have it done. There is ALWAYS a risk. You can end up with sepsis or a heart attack from seeing a damn dentist.
