pfeMAME version 2.10.2 has been released today
11/03/19 12:26 AM

This is a general stability and limited new feature release. A number of internal code improvements and a few squashed bugs. Check out the changelog file for full details.

The Windows build is using python 3.8 while the Ubuntu build is using python 3.7. Basically, my Ubuntu VM only has a 3.7 release at this stage. You shouldn’t notice any difference at this point in time until I start looking at exploiting the new shared memory feature for multi-tasking under 3.8.

I haven’t had any feedback for a really long time people, so please feel free to let me know how it looks. Does it even work for you? Are there annoying bugs or problems you’d like me to address. There are simply far too many different OS builds and configurations out there for me to look at and test under.

You can download this release from HERE.

Please read the manual as it has everything you need.

Please report bugs. You can email [email protected] or use the features on the sourceforge site to create a ticket, leave a review, or chat.

pfeMAME is a front end for the Multiple Arcade Game Emulator (MAME) written in Python. It is cross platform (tested on Linux - Ubuntu and Windows). It also includes a graphical Tile View designed for MAME cabinets which allows control using joystick / gamepad. It supports favourite game flagging, MESS systems, and a Tiled view for arcade cabinets. It was written with a minimalist view in mind but also because there were some features that I wanted that other front ends just didn't provide.
