They contracted out design of the Neo Geo to Alpha Denshi (ADK). The Hyper Neo Geo 64 was such a failure that the Neo Geo (in cost-reduced form) outlived it by years. When they eventually switched to a new arcade platform, it was Sega/Sammy Atomiswave.
