Ok, fwiw, took some time but I was able to build a full -debug -symbols version. (i7-6700K, 32GB memory)

Exe is 1.7GB, mame.sym is 140MB.

Here's the backtrace on the ssystem3 crash for HAP, I'll follow up on GitHub too. Thanks for your help Tafoid.
