John IV IV/Play, MAME, MAMEUI Reged: 09/22/03 Posts: 1969 Loc: Washington, USA Send PM [Q] Trying to get a build to backtrace 09/03/19 11:50 PM Reply So I was trying to build a debug version w/ symbols using the mysys default package from mamedev.org to get Hap a backtrace on a crasher I have when launching ssystem3. Built the build with: make -j9 -Werror DEBUG=1 SYMBOLS=1 It doesn't appear that the resulting .exe is that much larger and I don't get the full info I think I should from a backtrace. Is the default configuration stripping out the symbols somewhere overriding my commandline? Should I have a mame.sym being produced somewhere? Update: After the linking portion, I get this on console: Running post-build commands Stripping symbols. Where are those post-build commands coming from? john iv http://www.mameui.info/
