This is a pretty big release. A lot of under-the-hood changes, a totally rewritten file-paths window which now allows multiple folders, multi-processor / core support for database building, an improved method of systems support, and heaps of stability improvements and bug fixes.
A note regarding Linux: At present, pfeMAME doesn’t support snap installs of MAME on Linux. The snap builds seem to bundle things differently. I need to so some work on this. SDLMAME at present is my recommended version. Additionally, the Linux build of pfeMAME was done on Ubuntu 19.04. You need GLIBC 2.9 if you’re going to try installing on other / older distros. Failing that you can build your own version (See the manual)

At this point in time there is no Linux release as I’m having yet again more issues with cx_Freeze and Python 3.7 – somebody really needs to get this sorted out.

pfeMAME is a front end for the Multiple Arcade Game Emulator (MAME) written in Python. It is cross platform (tested on Linux - Ubuntu and Windows). It also includes a graphical Tile View designed for MAME cabinets which allows control using joystick / gamepad. It supports favourite game flagging, MESS systems, and a Tiled view for arcade cabinets. It was written with a minimalist view in mind but also because there were some features I wanted that other front ends just didn't provide.
