Well, now that I have a working HP-UX instance, I thought it was time to try out SunOS.
I couldn't find a full installation description on bannister.org, so I was hoping I could get away with something as simple as this, but :
Quote:
chdman createhd -f -o sunos412.chd -s 536870912 mame64 sun4_60 -hard sunos412.chd -cdrom SunOS_412.iso
But sun4_60 just gives me a black screen, and sun4_20 does get to the 'firmware boot prompt' (not sure what the formal terminology is), but to begin with states that the IDPROM checksum/contents are invalid, and when I enter 'b cdrom' in an attempt to boot from the installation cd complains that the SCSI device is not responding.
I suspect I need to specify some additional devices on the MAME commandline to make this work ?
