Usually when I start up Gauntlet: Dark Legacy, I have some screen tearing and a jerky frame rate. The game is running at 100% but it seems out of sync. If the game is paused at the right time, you can still see the tearing. It's easiest to see at the bottom of the level intro videos but its there's the entire time.
However, sometimes I exit out and start again without changing any settings and it doesn't have this issue. Once the game is running without the issue, it will stay that way and vice versa. I would say 30% of the time it starts correctly.
Any thoughts on why it's doing this? I don't believe it's a monitor/hardware issue or anything like that since you can still see the tearing when paused and several videos on YouTube show the same thing. I've tried multiple resolutions and MAME video modes and the results are always the same.
