pfeMAME version 2.6.3 has been released today

Another big release of pfeMAME today. There are a number of optimisations, bug fixes, and a small number of new features. Please see the changelog for the full details. A few very important notes as follows;

- This release has moved the command line preferences that were passed to the mame.exe file out into the mame.ini file. If you don't have a mame.ini file then pfeMAME will attempt to find it or create it. I've made this move as passing all of the preferences via the command line was getting horrible and messy. The ini files are already there and it makes sense to use them. Mae sure you check your file paths and preferences settings the first time you run pfeMAME, even if upgrading from a previous release.
- Make sure you run a full database refresh if upgrading - I have fixed a long time hack that had slot data in swapped columns in the database. Was getting quite hard to work out the code as things were not where expected.
- The slot devices in game specific preferences has now been expanded to allow for cascaded slots (a device with its own slot). You can only go down one additional level which should satisfy most situations. To change a slot configuration use the reset slots button and start over. Be VERY careful with the use of this feature - for now there is no sanity checking, you can assign any device to any slot. This can break MAME. Make sure you know what devices are allowed to be assigned to what slots. If you have any issues with a slot configuration (the program wont load in MAME, pfeMAME preferences wont work any more, or pfeMAME crashes or wont load, track down the game.ini file (should be located in your INI folder) and delete it. i plan to work on improving this feature in the next release.

pfeMAME is a front end for the Multiple Arcade Game Emulator (MAME) written in Python. It is cross platform (tested on Linux - Ubuntu and Windows). It also includes a graphical Tile View designed for MAME cabinets which allows control using joystick / gamepad. It supports favorite game flagging, MESS systems, and a Tiled view for arcade cabinets. It was written with a minimalist view in mind but also because there were some features I wanted that other front ends just didn't provide.
