No. No, no, no.
All I did was update Uncle Phil's work from about two years ago to the latest MAME APIs. The Konami M2 driver was already completely separate from the 3DO driver in the first place, since the 3DO and the M2 are entirely different platforms.
Phil has said that if I hadn't done the API update, it would likely still be sitting around unsubmitted, but honestly I was on the fence as to whether I should be listed in the credits for it at all.
