I'm glad someone was paying attention to my secretive checkins.
If you're on SDL2, on current MAME you can run with -verbose and see if SDL supports rumble effects for your controllers. That doesn't mean any actual game drivers support it yet, but it lets you tell if your hardware is gonna work.
