Are the roms zipped, 7zipped, expanded in a folder, rar'd, or just rolling around loose in there?
They need to be zipped or .7z'd. Are the files corrupt? Test them. .rar does not work. If they are expanded they need to be in a folder with the rom sets name.
Is it 2 roms or 2 rom sets? Is it a parent set with only 2 roms or is it a clone & needs the remainder of the parent roms to load properly?
Unless set in the ini, MAME will automatically look for support folders/files in the directory you run it from. (roms, samples, titles, cfg, nvram etc...)
There are a few things to check... Also as a suggestion, it may be easier to put MAME on another drive in regards to the way Windows deals with exe's & folders on the the C: drive. Just makes changing things easier in certain situations...
Hope that helped...
Pessimist: Oh, this can't get any worse!
Optimist: Yes, it can!
