I think we might be talking about different issues. You're talking about using mulitple MAME versions. My frontend only supports one version of MAME at a time, and that was my point. Maybe you're using the same mame.ini for different MAME builds ?
For one MAME version, you have unique single paths for each image category. But MAME allows you to define multiple paths for snaps, mulitple paths for titles, etc... that is what the frontend does not support.
snapshot_directory snap;d:\old_mame055\mysnaps\
Only the first path "snap" will be read by Emu Loader, ignoring everything else after the first ; char it finds.
I would also keep a separate snap pack for each MAME build as games database might be different. Each MAME build would use its own mame.ini, ui.ini with unique image paths for that particular build.
