Right, they're all really easy, and once set up offer a lot more flexibility and power than MAMEUI does if you want to use it.
They're also less fragile as they're actively maintained and updated codebases, and also mean you can use properly compiled official MAME binaries, not ones which seem to be randomly based off code that isn't the actual release code or compiled with a different version of the compile tools than the recommended ones.
It's a case of "this is what I've always used, so I'm going to keep using it and say it's easier" It's an unwinnable argument.
