Here's a shot of the insides. (sorry, it rotated horizontal on me)
There are 4 slots marked A-B-C-D and one 0-ohm resistor (basically a shunt).
Remove the resistor and wire each A-B-C-D to the first four wires on the gray ribbon cable below (from left to right) and then you can use the joystick to select the game as you power up.
With no resistor, it goes into test mode.
You can also restore the demo mode by holding both buttons down while powering up.
