Okie-Dokie.
ABC is free to fire Roseanne, and she can post on Twitter or whichever social network she wants. Her posting crazy or seemingly offensive remarks isn't related to her employment. It's just that it's a decision based on PC ideals, and that's the problem. The point where the "thought police" come in is the feigned outrage over her comments. If you think about it, it wouldn't be any different than firing someone over their skin color, sexual orientation, or political and/or religious beliefs (and her remarks delve into the political side of thinking). No matter what scenario you put here, it's a case of discrimination, plain and simple.
So, while ABC is free to fire Roseanne, they should at least have a good reason for doing it.
edit2: Watch the reply to this be someone assume I agree with whatever Roseanne said.
