I have a dell optiplex 760. I have attempted to install arcade vga 5000 using the included installation disc and have nothing but problems. This is what I am running into...
Fresh copy of Windows 7 64 bit I have to install vnc to do anything on the pc once I put on the arcade vga 5000 card because it disables the motherboard display output and the arcade vga dvi output doesn’t put out a signal my monitor can use and the crt display coming out of the vga output is essvetially unusable because of the resolution. I open the ultimarc installation cd and open the top program (installing it for windows 7-64 bit). The amd catalyst program will end up freezing every time no matter what I do (I DID read the directions on the website that it says to run the uninstaller on custom and uninstall the video drivers already on the machine first). Tried this and it froze. Thought maybe because there was no other drivers that would be why it was freezing so I ran the installer. This also results in an error-this time I get the blue screen of death. I am so confused and at the verge of giving up. I have spent more than 40 hours trying to figure this out so I can run stepmania on my DDR machine. Any advice or even better, anyone near minneapolis, Minnesota who’d be willing to come to my place and help... the level of frustration I have with this thing is higher than anything I’ve ever dealt with before.
Edit: I do have directX installed as well already
