I'm super new to all of mame. I'm slowly picking up on the different tools used (clrmamepro/bittorrent) to gain romsets and downloads but:
What I'm trying to figure out is:
1) why is a .dat file used for mame roms rather then a torrent. 2) what do I do with the dat file to access the roms? 3) is a .dat.zip the same as a .zip and can be extracted with common 7zip program? Then what because now its an xml 4) clrmamepro ? if I'm not converting/splicing/rebuilding/downgrading/upgrading/or cherry picking my romset do I need to use this at all? 5) how can I get this .dat.zip file to open, show me romsets so I can then place them in a folder to use in mame? 6) can I seed .dat files back after opening with my bittorrent program?
