Keeping this in one thread since it follows on indictment topic, but this probably is where Manafort will attempt to flee US unless he is closely monitored by US agents.
Either the judge is probably a corrupt appointee by the current sob or is totally naive boob of a judge. No way would any self respecting judge allow someone like Manafort to do this type of stunts. If Manafort flees, I hope judge is investigated especially if there are no specific restraints on Manafort's supposed temporary leave such as tracking id collar etc.

A district judge has granted former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort permission to be released from home confinement to attend his father-in-law’s wake and funeral in New York.
Manafort on Saturday asked the court for permission to travel from his home in Virginia to Long Island to attend the wake and funeral of his father-in-law, who passed away on the same day, Reuters reported.
The judge also ordered Manafort back in court on Wednesday over the new charges filed against him last week, according to multiple reports. The arraignment is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
Manafort has maintained his innocence and said he does not understand why Gates pleaded guilty. He is ordered to return to Virginia on Tuesday evening. --
