Typhoon 2001 is a beautiful looking game but unfortunately it has one major gameplay breaking flaw: In Tempest 2000 you can easily still shoot the enemies that reach the top edge if you position your ship at a certain angle (without jumping). In Typhoon 2001 when the enemies reach the top edge you're dead, unless you have the jump powerup. That's why I still prefer the original games over that remake.
