MAMEWorld Forums - Ultimarc - Konami Justifer / Happ Optical Light Gun to jpac Jamma

Greetings!

I am the proud owner of a new jpac jamma! It's working beautifully in my mamed NHL Open Ice 4 player cab.

It has a bright and recapped 25-inch Welles Gardner 7200 CRT, and I'd to add a couple of traditional Konami Justifer / Happ optical light guns to the cabinet.

Is there a way to wire these directly into the J-Pac? Can the four wires out of the gun the be piggy-backed on top of another connector on the fingerboard?

For example, the Lethal Enforcers gun harness is simply:

Wire 1 - +5v (Red) RED (PIN 3 COMPONENT SIDE
Wire 2 - trigger (Yellow) PIN 17 COMPONENT SIDE
Wire 3 - GND (Blk) PIN 1 COMPONENT SIDE
Wire 4 - Optic (white) PIN 19 COMPONENT SIDE

I soldered pins to some spare 20ga wire, and when I hook them up to the +5 & ground on the j-pac, the gun actually works (the trigger activates the player 1 down switch) lol

Rather than trying a hundred possible combinations - has anyone here done something like this, and if so, which leads on the Jamma fingerboard did you connect the trigger and optical sensor to?

Or, can they be connected to the additional inputs abeled 1SW4, 1SW5, 2SW4, 2SW5...etc..

I appreciate any help or direction.
