Sure, the station needs to get more money, but if it creates jobs, the STATE can lower their gas tax. Since it's their law, link the two.
New Jersey has always disallowed customer pumping, and has lower taxes on gasoline -- low enough that the prices are lower here than in surrounding states.
(No, that isn't a good reason to live here.)
