In the MAME.ini file the screen resolution was set to "auto" . I tried setting it manually to 1920x1080 (this was in OSD per Window video options) and that did not help. Also tried your suggestions, but still no bullets. I have gone to the MAME site and set the INI files to the recommended parameters for vector graphics. This seems to be a known issue that is not solved. I just did not expect it since it is fine on my laptop. Gamma settings have a big effect. Lowering the gamma you can begin to make things disappear, so I tried setting gamma to max, but that didn't help.
