It's not like there's any code of ethics exactly, if that would be true Dullaron broke it a long time ago with that MAME Retroarch crap he loves to advertise for free. However the chances to get support for what you are using are slim because people here usually don't use derivative builds. You have better chances getting support from wherever you download it.
Given you know how to use command line, what do you get from using the "-verifyroms" parameter?
