I have two different versions of MAME running on my arcade machine. For years it has worked flawlessly. I just noticed recently that when I try to run Neo Geo games I get an error message and they will not run. This happens on both versions of MAME and ONLY on Neo Geo roms.
The error in the command prompt is:
--------------------------------------------- Exception at EIP=009B2CE2: ACCESS VIOLATION While attempting to read memory at 00000000 ---------------------------------------------
As stated, all other roms work great, its only Neo Geo roms that cause this and it happens in BOTH versions of MAME I have installed. I am running Windows XP SP3.
All I can remember doing in the last year was attempting to update a video driver.
