I think you're missing the point.
This isn't "shock, nintendo uses an emulator in virtual console".
It's "there has been a nes emulator with an embedded golf game, included in every release of the switch & it's not clear that it's ever used".
It would be interesting to find out if this is the emulator used for virtual console or whether they have their own emulator bundled with roms. Either way it's weird there is an unlaunchable golf game on every switch.
