Those could be possible scenarios. Too bad we won't find out even though it is minor thing compared to preserving the game which is the bigger thing anyway.

That explains the cyclone name. If I were in marketing group, I would have given opinion of game name: "Shoot the Bems" or better yet if name required the "space" prefix... "Space Bems"
Of course I still believe "Don Bear Near" (mistranslation of Dunk Mania) would have been a great arcade name for a video game. A cab that looks and operates like Atari's Triple Hunt in woods setting where player tries to shoot at a bear (almost always hiding behind the trees) as the bear tries to work its way closer to approaching and finally going after the hunter.
