The older series reruns are currently on over-the-air channel 56.4 (ie: Comet tv) in soCal market.
One thing that maybe could have made Mystery Science Theater 3000 more entertaining is if they had voice impressionist Billy West on the show and Billy would work with "Jackie" puppet imitating the voice of Jackie Martling (1990s era Howard Stern's radio show). Maybe one of the two robots could be shown holding the Jackie Puppet while Billy West handles the Jackie puppet voice part.
Clips of Billy West's voice work with Jackie Puppet back in mid 1990s when Howard Stern's radio show was at its peak/greatest moments at the time.

The Jackie puppet addition might have been doable imo, but the obstacles would have been Billy West's work would command an expensive salary and the Mystery Science Theater 3000 production company would have to get a clearance/license with both Jackie Martling (actual comedian) and the person that originally created the puppet for Howard Stern back in 1994.
