Trump is a moron who probably thought up "make them pay for it" on the spot without ever having a plan, because it sounds like something that would make rednecks at his rallies go "fuck yeah, fuck those Mexi-cants!" And on top of that, the potential answer has been in front of his racist nose the whole time: after you kick out the illegals you steal their homes and sell them and use that money to pay for the wall.

The drugs aren't going to make a difference, though the cartels themselves are awful. If people can't get their heroin they'll get some prescription drug. The best step forward is legalizing weed, it's light and safe, you can't overdose. If people can't get light stuff they go for hard stuff. That's why the data shows that the meth problems are all worst in dry counties. They can't get alcohol but still want to get high. You go long enough without anything and you'll try anything. At least that's how it is for a lot of people.
