lot of popups and site redirects with Firefox (eg trying to open MW and getting some random dodgy looking Chinese site instead) IE wouldn't open, anti-virus wouldn't startup.
it's possible it's from one of the download sites offering it, but the VM was fucked, had to nuke it (which is exactly why you should always download and run untrusted software in a VM, and this is the very definition of untrusted software)
