How to cope with the inevitable Trump Presidency?
10/06/16 08:26 AM

Yeah. I have my doubts about him, and I worry about the future of this country. But I also worry about this country in regards to those that hate him, and for how they will react. I made the topic titled (something along the lines of) "Trump Wins! Looting and rioting on an unprecedented scale!"

Well, I can recall how conservatives worried about Obama, yet, nothing much came of it... It wasn't as bad as everyone whining about it said it would be. Even I didn't like the idea of Obama being president. But now that's it's all said and done, I don't see what the big deal was. One fear was that he'd "take our precious guns", and that resulted in record guns sales. AND, how many Presidents have ever kept their campaign promises? I doubt Trump will deport that many "illegals", or even Muslims, if any at all. He might build a wall (or have a wall built, it won't be him out there alone on a ladder laying brick -lol), but I'm sure it'll be 2 or 3 years after he's elected before any work ever starts on it.

I do worry about relations with other countries, and us going to war (again). When I woke up today, the first thing I said was; "They want Trump for president." "They" being the real people in control. A president is nothing more than a puppet, a front-man that gives us the illusion of someONE in the seat of authority, and that gives us the illusion of stability. Just about everything is propaganda, and it's hard to know what to trust and believe.

I wouldn't worry too much about civilization though. They need their people to keep paying taxes, to keep feeding the war machine.

At any rate, he's either going to be great, or absolutely terrible. And I'd gauge that by the country staying safe, or us getting bombed by whoever he manages to piss off.

Time will tell.
