Ready to shit in Google's mouth over Chrome

Is there a way to have a dropdown history url box? I've tried this extension:

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/recent-history/fbmkfdfomhhlonpbnpiibloacemdhjjm

It does nothing.


Edit: it does work, just puts the box far to the right of the url box
