Bought one on launch day. Mario 64 and KI impressed the hell out of me at the time. Used to go to Toys R Us several times a week to play the demo unit.

Once I had it and wore out Mario, KI, SOTE and Pilot Wings, I ended up selling it and reacquiring it as other games were released. Golden Eye, Turok II, Star Fox 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Rogue Squadron and finally my beloved favorite, unmatched to this very day...F-Zero X....God Dang, what a racing game! 60 cars on screen, non-rubber band AI, well-designed tracks and awesome, if cheezy metal rock music. Other than the graphical Pop-in, it was perfect in my eyes. Played the piss out of that game. I wish Nintendo would re-release it with only the pop-in fixed and the screen updated for HD displays. GX on the GC was superior graphically, but it just wasn't the same under Sega's watch. Looked like F-Zero, played like a cheap quarter muncher.

I still hold the PSX and Saturn as my all time favs, but the N64 was a good system to have
