It is my understanding MAMEUIFX is built with only "arcade" machines and also no gambling/pinball and more disabled. This severely limits its scope. It will not be able to run those console/handheld/computer machines which MESS used to support and MAME now supports via official binaries from mamedev.org
To load software, you can do that as shown: mame a2600 -cart "c:\path\to\atari_2600\frogger.bin" You can load a cart directly into the machine and start it.
Alternatively, you can use: mame a5200 Then, use the TAB menu in the internal UI and File Manager and navigate to the game of your choice.
Also, there are what is known as "software lists" which are a collection of known software for a system which can be launched as simply as a MAME game is to launch. Provided you have the images set up in rompath where expected, you can issue stuff such as: mame a2600 frogger mame a7800 mspacmanu mame nes megaman2u mame snes smkartu
