Christianity and Islam are built on 'we are top dog'.
Buddhism doesn't have and discourages contempt. Hinduism I think st least somewhat.
The Native Ams came from largely leisure lifestyles. They don't serve god or gods, but respect them, and in particular respect Nature. They can have contempt, because they're human...and note they're patriarchal, so, 'men'.
Everyone has their idea of suitable practice and conduct. Mine are, similar to Buddhism, one and the same: curiosity, disclosure, playfulness, sensuality, physically active.
