I think it was Henry Miller who wrote [paraphrased because my brain cells are old]: "If Christians saw true Christians behaving like true Christians they'd want to run them out of town." It's true: Jesus was a communist. Have you seen the film Hail Caesar? Its central message is just this: Jesus was a communist. Anyone of average intelligence who ever read the red words in The New Testament knew this already, but thanks to the Cohen brothers for introducing it to those who haven't read the red words and/or aren't of at least average intelligence.
Why modern American "Christians" seem to tend to be conservatives instead of communists is a connundrum. I guess a sociologist could dedicate his life to hashing out the answer. Kind of like how the Jews in Israel are-- with at least one very obvious distinction-- veritable Nazis, while those in New York and Hollywood seem all hippie-dippie Bernie-communist and shit.
