It's not that I live in a high crime area, nor am I a "gun nut" (I don't even own so much as a hunting rifle), but this particular item just seems cool. Heck, for all I know it might not be any more powerful or accurate than some other less cool looking gun. I'm aware of these factors since I have a friend that is a "gun nut".
I'll have to disagree. Guns aren't a problem. It's individuals who can't justly govern their own selves and actions, and have to resort to thievery or assaulting or killing someone else -for whatever petty reason. Anyone that inflicts or attempts to inflict harm on another person or their family or property, waives their rights to being free and/or unharmed due to their act of aggression. Self defense is a justifiable result of said aggression. Criminals lives are in their own hands.
Anyone that owns a gun should practice using it, not only for safety reasons, but to gain experience using it for the sake of accuracy and keeping a cool head. If I were to get something like this (that resembles an iPhone), I'd even be okay if it provided a non-lethal means of self defense. Like if it were a stun-gun or taser... Maybe even have something for pepper spray.

So are you implying everyone should have a Marine to protect themselves? What would the Marine/s do? What would they use? You tick me off, I have my Marine mess you up, then your Marine goes after mine?
