Using pre-2015 ipac4 with odroid XU4

Hey guys, I've been trying to use an older ipac4 with an Odroid XU4 and am coming up short of success. I've purchased a ps/2 to usb adapter (NOT a converter, as specified on the site) and I cannot get the android device to "see" that I've plugged it in. It doesn't show up under usb devices or physical keyboards. I'm using the most recent android version, and info on this subject is sparse at best (my google-fu is admittedly lame though).

Is it possible to make this work?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!
