For MAME 0.171 (32-bit), My mame.exe is located here:
"c:\MAME\MAME 0.171\mame.exe"
In mame.ini, I edited the pluginspath to where I moved the Plugins directory, which is located here:
pluginspath -----> "c:\MAME Support\plugins"
When I load MAME, I get a [LUA ERROR] message about missing plugin files. So it doesn't appear that MAME is recognizing the edited Plugins path. If the Plugins directory must be located in the root directory of mame.exe, then why present the option for the user to change it's path?
(If you are wondering why I would want to move the Plugins directory... Since I use multiple MAME derivatives and frontends, I share folders with them so I don't have to have multiple Snap directories, ROM directories, etc. And I like keeping all the MAME "support files" and "add-ons" in one place.)
